Nadine Rios-Rivas
Grew up as an army kid, traveled since birth with the opportunity to integrate into a variety of cultures. Choosing the field of architectural design occurred in Germany where I had the first introduction to the field from a young architect that showed me her current projects being built and how buildings were communicated through drawings. After completing my Master’s in Architecture degree from Andrews University, I jumped head first into the field in Kalamazoo MI, where I now call home. Experienced with a wide range of architectural design including commercial headquarter offices, worship centers, mixed-use residential and commercial buildings, K-12 schools, private clinics, government hospitals and military projects. In my spare time I volunteer with the American institute of Architects (AIA), the National Organization of Minority Architects, and Communities in Schools. Celebrated with an AIA Southwest Michigan Award for impacting the design community through outreach and co-leading NOMA Project Pipeline in Southwest Michigan.
