KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Congratulations to Dr. Tiffany Lee, professor and program director of the Addiction Studies Program (SPADA), along with part-time instructors and doctoral students Lyndsay Nuyen and Blaire Zielke from the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Ph.D. program, on the publication of their new book chapter on exercise addiction.
Featured in Assessing and Treating Behavioral Addictions, the chapter explores the historical development and current prevalence of exercise addiction. It also highlights key assessment tools and treatment approaches for addressing this behavioral health issue.
The chapter has been published online, and hard copies are coming soon! Students in the Addiction Studies Program (SPADA) also had the opportunity to learn about Enlightened Recovery, an addiction rehabilitation center, presented by Zielke, a part-time instructor. The presentation was recorded and will be used in future classes to help students learn about resources for addiction.
