I joined the faculty of Western Michigan University’s Occupational Therapy program in a full-time role in 2025 after working as a part-time instructor, primarily in a clinical instruction capacity, since 2016. My clinical experience is in outpatient and home/community-based practice focused on working with clients with neurodevelopmental, mental/behavioral, and feeding conditions as well as those who have experienced TBI. I am passionate about utilizing a strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming approach and fostering social-emotional skill building to support well-being and occupational engagement. Sharing the holistic perspective occupational therapy offers and helping students find the spark that guides their journey into the field has been a true joy. Prior to my career in OT, I worked in educational and international non-profit development and outreach.
Fun Fact: I love to spend time with my family, travel, drink coffee, read, and take long walks.
