Teresa Lucas

Teresa Lucas (she/her) graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology and German Studies. During her undergraduate years, she completed a semester abroad in Erlangen, Germany, where she took courses at Friedrich-Alexander University. While there, she also completed an Integrative Cultural Research Project through an internship at a German middle school, where she evaluated how different instructional methods influenced student learning.

 

After graduating, Teresa received a Fulbright grant to Dortmund, Germany, where she served as an English Teaching Assistant, helping students strengthen their English language skills. She was invited back for a second year to teach in Düsseldorf.

Teresa has always loved traveling and finds particular joy in visiting local grocery stores in every country she visits to try regional snacks. In her free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, playing card games, and hosting dinner parties.

Teresa is passionate about expanding access to study abroad opportunities, believing they offer a truly transformative experience for every student. She looks forward to working with students at Western, helping them prepare for and navigate their own study abroad experiences.
