Dining Center - Door Rate

Fall 2025 - Summer 2026

Effective Monday, August 18, 2025. Entrance to the dining center for a dine-in, all-you-care-to-eat meal may be purchased at the cashier stand using cash, Dining Dollars or credit. Please see the rates below for Students or Adults and Children aged 12 or younger. Infants or toddlers (2 years old or younger) are not charged with paying adult.

Are you visiting with a large group?

If you are interested in bringing a large group to campus and would like to feed your group a meal in the dining center, we appreciate at least 2 weeks advance notice!

Faculty/Staff Dining Discount

When full-time Faculty and Staff use Dining Dollars to pay for meals at the door, they receive the "Dining Dollar Discount" for the current meal. In most cases, eligibility for this discount is determined by the group listed on your Bronco Card; Broncos with "FACULTY/STAFF" listed are eligible. (Meals may also be purchased at the door using cash or credit card by faculty and staff, but these meals will be charged the guest rates listed at the top of the page.)

  • The Dining Dollar Discount rate is only available to faculty and staff and their guests when swiping their faculty/staff Bronco Card and paying with Dining Dollars.
  • Faculty and staff may bring guests into the dining center with them at the discounted rate as long as they (faculty/staff member) are also swiping and entering the dining center at the same time as their guest.
  1. Log into the BuyDining platform. 
  2. Click on "Dining Dollars" from the bulleted list.
  3. Review the "Dining Dollars Terms and Conditions" before making any purchases. 
  4. Click on "Add Dollars" and then enter the amount of Dining Dollars you would like purchase. 
  5. Click "Buy Now" and you will be directed to the TouchNet purchasing platform. Please use a Visa®, MasterCard® or Discover® credit or debit card for your Dining Dollars purchase.

Department Meals Discount

Fall 2025 - Summer 2026
WMU departments interested in purchasing meals for their employees may request a reloadable Department Dining Dollars Card to pay for meals at a discounted price from the dining center door rate!
  1. Call the Dining Services Office (269-387-4844) or send an email (ds-info@wmich.edu) to request a reloadable Department Dining Dollars Card.
  2. Choose how many Dining Dollars to get loaded onto the card which can be used by faculty/staff in your department at your discretion. 
    1. $9 per breakfast 
    2. $13 per lunch/dinner 
  3. Pick up the Department Dining Dollars Card from Dining Services' office, room 3409 in the Administration Suite on the 3rd floor of the Student Center; the card is active immediately. 
  4. Departments are billed by Fund/Cost Center in June and December for the number of Dining Dollars used in the prior six months. 
  5. Reload as needed by contacting Dining Services via phone or email. 
 
The Department Meals Discount is redeemable at the Valley Dining Center or Student Center only. The Department Dining Dollars Card can also be used at Campus Cafes or Mi Pi, Fuego Verde and ReFresh Market, but no discount is available for these locations.
