Celebration of Excellence

Western Michigan University's Celebration of Excellence is a celebration to honor our multicultural graduates. Celebrations are held twice a year, typically the Saturday before fall and spring commencements. 

Spring 2026 Celebration

We will celebrate our 2026 Spring, Summer I and II graduates at our celebration on Saturday, April 25, in the Student Center Ballroom. We will have two celebrations at the following times:

College of Engineering & Applied Sciences
College of Fine Arts
Graduate College
College of Health & Human Services
 
1:30pm
College of Arts & Sciences
Haworth College of Business
Extended University Programs
Merze Tate College
 
Graduates must register to attend by Friday, April 3. Due to capacity limits, graduates may only register two guests to attend with them.

Graduates will have the option of submitting a power point slide when registering. The power point slide should include name, photo, graduation term, and degree information. Please make a copy of the template provided below:

Donations to support the Celebration of Excellence are welcomed!

This fund provides support for the annual Celebration of Excellence, an event sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at WMU. This event acknowledges and honors the academic and campus contributions of our multicultural graduates. We greatly appreciate your support to make this event possible!

Instructions for Donating

Under "Locate your funds," select the tab, "Search all available fund." Type into the search bar, "Celebration of Excellence." Select the available fund to donate to Celebration of Excellence.
