The Esports program at WMU provides students with the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of competitive gaming. Our Esports Arena, located on East Campus, combines multiple gaming stations with state of the art production capabilities. Esports offers opportunities for recreational and competitive gaming along with hands-on experiences for those looking to gain experience in the gaming world.

Here are some of the things our Esports program offers:

  • Varsity teams competing in the Esports Collegiate Leagues (ESC)
  • Numerous club teams focusing on a wide-variety of gaming titles
  • Monthly fighting game tournaments with payouts
  • Summer camps for middle and high school students
  • Employment, volunteer and internship opportunities

Arena Open House

Join us for an open house at the WMU Esports Arena at the Little Theatre on Tuesday, August 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to learn about everything that our Esports program has to offer, including club and varsity teams.

Bronco Esports Lab

Join us for the grand opening of the Bronco Esports Lab in the Student Recreation Center on Wednesday, August 27 at 11:45 a.m. The first 100 attendees will receive an Esports branded giveaway!

Varsity Tryouts

Are you interested in trying to earn a spot on one of our varsity Eports teams this fall? Tryouts are scheduled August 27 - September 3 for all five of our teams:

  • Smash Bros.
  • Rocket League
  • Valorant
  • Overwatch
  • League of Legends

To register for tryouts, complete the tryout registration form. One of our coaches will follow-up with you and provide more details on the tryout process.
