This WMU Baja vehicle was in the Baja SAE Oshkosh. At that competition, the team placed 56th out of 78 teams, which was a very strong result considering this was:
- the first car built since the team had to restart due to COVID,
- the first car built since 2018, and
- the team’s first time competing at an SAE national competition in five years.
The race conditions were especially brutal due to heavy mud—at one point, the team was literally shoveling mud out of the car during the endurance event.
Only one member of the original team for this vehicle remains with the team today: Miles Evnik, our Chassis Lead, who is now a senior and set to graduate in Fall 2026.
- The club is proud of our 2024 car, which successfully completed an endurance race for the first time in team history (as far as we know)
- Our new car is currently under construction, getting ready for the 2026/2027 race season. It was officially revealed at the end of the Spring 2026 semester
