Participating in Congress
The Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University invites proposals of sessions and of papers for the annual International Congress on Medieval Studies. Session organizers are responsible for recruiting and selecting papers for their sessions.
We are grateful for offers to preside over general sessions. We also welcome reservations for business meetings and gatherings at the Congress.
Submit a Paper Proposal to the 61st International Congress on Medieval Studies
All those hoping or invited to make contributions to sessions of papers or roundtables at the Congress need to make proposals in the Confex system by the deadline of Friday, Sept. 15. All proposals for sessions of papers (including general sessions) and roundtables are made through the Confex system, where the sessions are grouped by format.
Offer to Preside Over a General Session
The Program Committee gratefully accepts offers to preside over general sessions. One does not need to be delivering a paper at the International Congress on Medieval Studies in order to preside over a general session.
The deadline to offer to preside over general sessions is Oct. 15.
Arrange a Business Meeting or Gathering
Learned societies, associations, institutions, publishers and other vendors may hold business meetings, meals, receptions or other gatherings at the International Congress on Medieval Studies.
The deadline to reserve space for a business meeting or gathering is Nov. 30.
