Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The WMU Bronson School of Nursing offers a four-year, pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program that prepares students for diverse healthcare careers in hospitals, clinics, public health and more. With small class sizes, hands-on clinical experiences and interprofessional learning alongside other health disciplines, students gain a strong foundation for nursing practice. Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam and are well-prepared for leadership roles or advanced graduate study.

RN to BSN Program
Nursing is a rewarding but demanding career, and advancing your education should support—not complicate—your journey. Our online RN-BSN program is designed for working nurses, offering a flexible, fully online curriculum that fits your schedule. With just one practicum completed in a community you choose, we make it easier to earn your BSN while continuing to do what you love.
Wellness focused
The WMU Bronson School of Nursing pre-licensure BSN program is proud to be Holistically Endorsed since 2001. Our nursing program is one of nine departments within the College of Health and Human Services that share a common emphasis on holistic practice education. The mission and philosophy of CHHS and the University support and are congruent with our holistic-centered curriculum.
Give to the BSON Holistic Nursing Certification Fund - Funds will be used for the following:
- Student scholarships to pay for holistic test certification fees
- Faculty membership dues for AHNA (American Holistic Nurses Association)
- Holistic test certification fee and attendance at conferences to maintain holistic certification
- Costs associated with holistic modality presentations (i.e. invited speaker/presenter fee, food, parking, venue, and set-up/take down of venue)
- Costs associated with offering continuing education (CE) programs (i.e. nurse planner fee, presenter fee, student scholarship to cover CE fee, food, parking, venue fee, set-up/take down of venue)
Participants needed for research
Pamela Wadsworth, Assistant Professor of Nursing, is leading a study on the long-term health outcomes of sexual assault survivors—especially those who died prematurely.
If you’ve lost a loved one who survived sexual assault and passed away early, your voice matters. I’m looking to speak with people like you to better understand how care—or lack of it—impacts survivors’ long-term health. Your insights could help improve support for others in the future.

In 2024, the Bronson School of Nursing proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special brunch event held in the College of Health and Human Services. The celebration brought together emeriti faculty, alumni, community partners, faculty, staff and students to honor three decades of excellence in nursing education. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, the event raised an impressive $98,029 to support the purchase of new teaching equipment—enhancing hands-on learning experiences for future nursing professionals.
