Annual Events
- Conferences: These one-day, or two-day leadership conferences, which take place in the fall or spring, are developed and facilitated by students for students. Conferences consist of a wide variety of activities that touch on the following topics: communication, problem-solving, risk-taking, team-building, and diversity. No matter what level of leadership experience, these conferences are a great way for students to network with other student leaders and build upon their leadership skills. Stay tuned for more information about our next conference, which is expected sometime during the fall of 2025.
- Camp with Us: This is a camping-on-campus event, geared toward those who wish to learn new skills outdoors in a familiar and accessible environment. At this event, participants learn the ins and outs of camping and beginner backpacking while making meaningful connections along the way. Camp With Us takes place during the fall.
- Leaders Unplugged: One of the Office of Student Engagement's most popular retreat activities is our Leaders Unplugged backpacking trip, both during fall break and spring break. Whether you're an experienced hiker or have never slept in a tent before, backpackers of any level are welcome to spend a weekend with our staff and students to learn the leadership lessons the outdoors can teach us.
- Inclusion Programs: Join student leaders in learning about and advocating for social justice through workshops and experiential learning opportunities. These events are primarily discussion/activity-based and allow students to reflect on what can be done to fight for social justice within their communities. To learn more about these events, please visit ExperienceWMU.
- RSO Development: LeadCorp supports RSO development by equipping student leaders with the skills, resources, and mentorship needed to strengthen their organizations, enhance member engagement, and create meaningful, well-executed programs that contribute to a vibrant campus community.
- LeadCorp Mixer: The LeadCorp Mixer, held once each semester, offers student leaders a chance to connect with current interns, learn about the internship experience, and explore how LeadCorp can support their leadership growth and campus involvement.
This page will be updated as more annual events become public.
