Bio:

Dr. Adrienne Redding is a master faculty specialist at in the Department of English at Western Michigan University.

Dr. Redding currently holds a fellowship with the Office of Faculty Development as a faculty liaison for Gateways to Completion, a Gardner Institute program facilitating evidence-based, data-driven course redesign focusing on increasing student success in "Gateway" courses and decreasing equity gaps in student achievement. In addition, she regularly teaches courses such as the Development of Modern English, Shakespeare, British Literature I, Literary Interpretation, and The Structure of Modern English.  Dr. Redding is also the faculty advisor for Alpha Nu Pi, WMU's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta (The International English Honor Society).  Her research interests include issues surrounding student persistence and retention, minoritized and marginalized student voices in the classroom, and “othered” language and power both in contemporary and Early Modern culture.
