College of Aviation Virtual Presentations
We encourage students and families to take advantage of our virtual experiences and check out our virtual reality campus tour above. We also have a tour of our main campus in Kalamazoo from two current aviation students' perspectives; they highlight all of the spots aviation students frequent on campus.
Join us for an individual virtual information session and Q&A with an aviation ambassador and current student; the first step in our campus visit. Receive a thorough program overview and learn more about our majors, aircraft, student life, and career outcomes. Sessions are available:
- Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
- Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Sessions will be held through the Webex platform. Additional timeframes may be available upon request.
College of Aviation Campus Tours
We recognize that the campus visit experience is an important part of the college search process for students and families. At the College of Aviation, we are hosting individual in-person tours while also being conscious of safety measures and physical distancing for both our campus community and visitors. As such, if you wish to register for a traditional in-person campus tour, please first register for a virtual information session. This allows us to give you a thorough program overview and answer your initial questions virtually, and helps keep the in-person aspect socially distanced and outside. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow all state and federal guidelines. Should the situation change, we will individually notify anyone who is registered for an in-person tour.
Visiting campus provides the prospective student the opportunity to experience life at the College of Aviation. In addition to viewing the physical structures of the campus—classrooms, hangars, maintenance labs, etc.—prospective students will also have the opportunity to meet aviation faculty, aviation administrators, staff and other key-stakeholders at the College of Aviation. Not to be forgotten, the tour will also focus on the tools of the trade: airplanes. Prospective students will engage with the technology and equipment embedded into the curriculum.
In-person College of Aviation tours are offered Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 3:30 p.m. On Saturdays, tours are available at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Additional times may be available upon request.
- Access the College of Aviation fleet, sit in the aircraft and see first-hand the complex nature of the training equipment.
- Be provided with a thorough program overview.
- Connect with College of Aviation personnel.
- Experience the College of Aviation maintenance labs.
- Meet with an aviation ambassador.
- Tour the College of Aviation facilities.
- Visit the simulator bay and examine some of the most advanced flight training devices in collegiate aviation and much more!
In addition to touring the College of Aviation, we strongly recommend also visiting the Kalamazoo campus. Aviation students will have courses on both campuses, therefore it is imperative to tour both. This will provide interested students with a well-rounded campus experience, helping them gain the necessary experience to make an informed decision. Again, please remember that we ask you to complete the virtual information session with us prior to touring.
