WMU Student Health Insurance Requirements

Western Michigan University international students and scholars on F-1 and J-1 visas are required to carry health insurance. For detailed requirements, see https://wmich.edu/internationaladmissions/resources/insurance.

There is no requirement for U. S. citizens attending WMU to carry health insurance. Sindecuse Health Center recommends students seek coverage to prevent unexpected financial costs.
