- Licensed Massage Therapist
The first time I received a medical massage I nearly cried from relief. Having left college to work full time for a tree removal service, my back had absolutely been killing me. The therapist listened to my concerns, respected my body, and worked with me to figure out the root of my pain. That day sparked a passion in me for the inner workings of the human body and, a few months later, I enrolled in a massage licensing program.
The five main goals of each treatment are to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, increase circulation, improve range of motion, and encourage relaxation. By passively guiding the body through its range of motion, I’m able to zero in on what muscles, tendons, and ligaments aren’t working right, and target them directly. Releasing tension at the source will help to reestablish balance and function, while providing a deeply relaxing environment and experience.
